A good pair of polarized sunglasses cuts through the glare created by the sun, which enables the angler to see under the water. Number one it allows the angler to see underwater structure such as rocks and logs. And secondly, it actually allows the angler to see some of the fish that are trying to be caught. The biggest point that needs to be made in reference to polarized sun glasses is that you get what you pay for. That's right, you father was right when he told you this old rule of thumb, and there might be no situation where the rule of "you get what you pay for" is more prevalent.
